The true societal impact of projects is hard to measure. In the patient journey documentary, we visualize the true impact by allowing patients to tell their story. Together with the clinicians from UZ Gent/UGent, VIB decided to make a small documentary about Gauthier, a spondyloarthritis patient, and the positive impact of the treatment on his daily functioning. Unfortunately, not all patients share his story. Therefore, the Spartacus project aims to investigate why the novel treatment strategy is beneficial for some patients, but not for others.
